What We Look For...

We are seeking an experienced, driven and results oriented Regional Director of Operations to be responsible for the overall management of the branded select service portfolio of hotels.  The ideal candidate will have proven success in a fast paced environment and can react and adjust quickly to changing conditions.  The Regional Director of Operations will provide guidance and mentoring to property General Managers. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee all stages of operations of branded select service hotels.
  • Proactively lead and support properties to deliver desired results with respect to top-line revenue, improving guest service, profitability and associate satisfaction.
  • Review and maintain monthly and annual budgets and forecasts for optimal profit growth.
  • Research and analyze existing data and trends and take action to reduce costs and increase revenues whenever possible.
  • Lead the on-boarding efforts of GMs, conduct GM performance reviews and work to identify and develop leadership skills with the hourly team members.
  • Promotes and develops team-oriented philosophy, stressing the importance for providing unparalleled commitment to excellence in service and promoting internal growth.
  • Develops short and long-range objectives. Monitors, documents and notifies the owner of any problems that may impact or jeopardize the achievement of current and future objectives.
  • Participate in developing marketing strategies to increase volume and market share; investigates potential opportunities for incremental revenue whenever possible.
  • Work closely General Managers to identify and resolve inefficient operations. Handle any issues or concerns, which may adversely affect the operation.
  • Ensure adherence to customer service standards within established departmental policies and procedures. Evaluates and modifies systems and structures that create problems or impede commitment to excellence in service and continued growth.
  • Ensure hotel is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour and Health laws

The Model Qualifications:

  • Must have 4+ years in hotel operations
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven success as a results-oriented, organized, self-starter.
  • Ability to perform a myriad of duties with diligence and attention to detail.
  • Must be hands on and forward and progressive thinker.
  • Ability to collaborate with others by building strong relationships with property and corporate peers, teams, departments and approaching problem solving from the Company perspective.
  • Ability to demonstrate business acumen by strongly understanding and having the ability to explain to others their property's financial performance, focusing on managing their department's budgets, supporting the development and alignment of the strategic plan, and understanding the trends in the business.
  • Ability to develop others by leading paths for career development and upward mobility, and constructively delivers honest and direct feedback to direct reports and colleagues.
  • Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Possess an understanding of the legal ramifications and implications of various employee and guest actions.
